- Pressure as a result of volume changes. Barotrauma to organs such as:
- Sinus, middle, external and inner ear, GI tract, teeth, gas embolus
- Claustrophobia and anxiety
- Reversible lens changes / Accelerated growth of already present nuclear
cataracts
- Fire hazard due to non-compliance (e.g. contra-ban being taken into chamber
(matches, lighter, books, make-up. mascaras, deodorants...)
- Oxygen toxicity
- Nausea and vomiting
- Seizures
- Sweating
- Pallor
- Muscle twitching
- Anxiety and/or respiratory changes
- Visual changes
- Tinnitus
- Hallucinations
- Vertigo
- Hiccups
- Decreased level of consciousness
